Away Destination is an event planning and design company created in 2017 as a collaboration between three business women, Lora Wardman, Sonya Shannon, and Ashlie Darley. Each company player has many years experience in the wedding industry hired for project management and creative design.
About Our Group
Lora Wardman has been a planner for over 30 years in Central Florida with a background in venue management and event and floral design. Her work as a designer has been featured nationally in publications including The Knot Florida, The Celebration Society, Orlando Magazine, Orange Blossom Bride, and Southern Weddings. She’s won industry accolades for her weddings for many years and continues to be listed as one of the best planners in the Southern United States. She truly loves being a planner and will go above and beyond for her clients.
With a degree from Rollins College, Ashlie Darley has over 25 years experience as a project manager. In 2014, Ashlie created an orginal brand for her estate home in Orlando to host weddings. As the Creative Director of Peachtree House, she brings a wealth of experience in business management as well as a unique appreciation for managing events at a historic property.
For over 20 years, Sonya Shannon has managed weddings at the Cathedral Church of St. Luke in Orlando, Florida. One of the most important gothic buildings in downtown Orlando, the Cathedral hosts dozens of weddings each year all under Sonya’s careful management. She has continually worked with Peachtree House along with other top Orlando venues as a wedding and event coordinator with Lora and Ashlie for almost 10 years.
